Facts! (stranger than fiction)

I previously wrote about how including biological males in women's sports harms womens sports. I went to great lengths to explain what is so obvious it shouldn't be open for debate. However, there are still voices attempting the same old illogical leaps of faith by using the same old tired tropes. But they're not even attempting to use different rhetoric to propmote the same argument they're using the "exact same articles" Yet again, we're subjected to this ACLU article from 2020 ACLU Article It claims facts are myths and presents myths as factual, quite the switcheroo So how do they break down these myths (otherwise known as facts)? Switcheroo 1 FACT: Including trans athletes will benefit everyone. MYTH: The participation of trans athletes hurts cis women. The first part of this "debunking" claims that some kind of mysterious dark force is active here in order to divide and conquer. But there is no mysterious dark force, its ok to recognise tha...

Those damn people with eyes and ears!

Cause and effect is the relationship between two things when one thing makes something else happen. Subliminal messaging is designed to send you a message that will slip past your usual mental radar and embed a different message. Put the 2 together it can be a very powerful tool. Now for a low IQ layman like Kevin Maguire its very easy to see through Maguire here uses blunt force trauma to get his cause and effect message over. Immediately he embeds the message that this is a far right terrorist attack (Its not, there are no victims other than the bomber who committed suicide) I read his social media pages, apart from expressing anger toward the government not getting a grip on the migrant crisis, there is no evidence to suggest he simply hates foreigners But then his message moves into something more subtle. Suella Braverman using the word "invasion" leads to people bombing migrant holding centres. This is akin to saying people who play violent video games go on to be mass m...

HopeNotHate are at it again.

In light of the petrol bomb attack on the migrant centre this past week, I've been waiting patiently for far left extremist organisation HopeNotHates response. As soon as the bombers name was released I knew they would be all over it with glee.  But the major problem with hopenothate is they present an argument that literally makes no sense (something they are very often akin to doing) Yet again hopenothate attempt to give us a far right extremist yet what we actually have is a mentally unstable man who all too easily has been pushed into doing something stupid and quite honestly ridiculous. article. Dover migrant centre attacker had a history of far-right views A Facebook account archived by HOPE not hate reveals that Leak had a history of sharing far-right content and making racist comments. This includes sharing content from the far-right Traditional Britain Group, Turning Point UK and the US based Islamophobic movement ACT for America. Leak also shared a transphobic article fro...

Deconstructing the Trojan Unicorn

It must be tough being a feminist today. Imagine your whole world consisting of a hatred of something you simply can't quite define? Feminists like to call it patriarchy, this invisible system holding women back from achieving their full potential as individuals in their own right. What they like to call "patriarchy" is in fact simply Western society as a whole. The 2.4 children, housewives chained to the kitchen sink trapped in a mans world of oppression must have been oh so very tough back in the 50's. Now not to say that women have always been treated just as fairly as men (because we know they haven't) Things really weren't that bad. This "patriarchal" capitalist system has lifted more people out of poverty than any civilization previously known to mankind Nowadays women have an equal footing to men the likes of which has rarely been seen historically, so who takes credit for all this? Common sense tells us that our ever evolving liberal and demo...

Justice

Justice:noun (fairness) Fairness in the way people are dealt with. A little over 3 years ago. PC Andrew Harper was responding to a routine burglary case, little did he know but it would end up with him losing his life in what is probably one of the most agonising ways possible. Story here So horrific was this tragic loss of life that a campaign led by his grief-stricken widow has led to the government passing "Harpers Law" which mandates life sentences for the killing of emergency workers, it came into effect on 28th June 2022 We very nearly came to using this law less than 3 months later. This is an active case, so there is very little to go on, but that doesn't stop the court of public opinion shifting into overdrive. So other than the initial report that has comments of a few witness's there is very little else Initial report including witness claims We also know that armed police were involved in the chase because the vehicle had been flagged by ANPR as being use...

God save the King.

Whether you're a monarchist or a republican, one has to admit that we have reached the end of a rather astonishing era. For the past 7 decades the Queen has been a constant reminder of not only who we are now, but where we have come from, a lot has happened in the last 70 years. But for our monarchy, at its absolute barest, very little has changed. The Queens reign has certainly witnessed the evolution of Empire into what we now call the Commonwealth, but for all this time, Queen Elizabeth has largely performed little more than a ceremonial role steeped in tradition that most of us are unwilling to disband. I declare before you all that my whole life whether it be long or short shall be devoted to your service and the service of our great imperial family to which we all belong. Strong words from our (what was then Princess Elizabeth) spoken in 1947, 5 years before she became the Queen. Even her worst detractors wouldn't be able to argue that she didn't do exactly what she s...
