Accusation in a mirror

De-humanisation.

I'm sure most people are aware of dehumanisation, the idea that a group of people be it race, colour or even social status is somehow less worthy of equal status as a human being. It could be something small like an employer who treats his workforce as nothing more than automatons, but you could extrapolate that to a much grander scale like, for instance, the Nazi's dehumanisation of the Jews, its an evil, brutal concept.

But it can be misplaced, particularly for political reasons. Take the recent demonstration In Knowsley. This was a perfectly legal demonstration against the housing of migrants in hotels in the middle of communities that are completely alien to them. They don't know the make-up of the neighbourhood, they have no idea of acceptable behaviour particularly toward women and girls and they are, of course, mostly single men.

So is it wrong to protest housing migrants in communities that are already struggling with poverty and a whole host of other social issues, are we "dehumanising" them? Are we behaving towards them the way the Nazi's did to the Jews?

Evidence suggests that no we are not in fact dehumanising them, expressing very real concerns over undocumented migrants is a perfectly legitimate complaint to make and to compare it to the Nazi's is disingenuous at best, but its closer to flat out lying, after all, the Nazi's wanted to expel the Jews from their own homeland, by their very nature, migrants are not part of this nations populace so its a comparison between apples and oranges.

But this doesn't stop the far left from clicking into overdrive, Labour MP's are decrying the rise of the far right and pointing to Knowsley as a case in point, they're demanding the shutting down of right wing groups such as Patriotic Alternative (PA) and Britain first on the back of what happened in Knowsley.

But this raises more than a few issues. Yes, there were very likely more than a few members of far right groups at Knowsley, but there was also a very large and militant presence from the far left and it was only when the far left pitched up that things began to get ugly, so why just blame the far right? The far left in this country are growing increasingly out of control, regularly dressed in military uniform (illegal) or wearing black-bloc (again illegal) there is a growing library of video evidence showing the very ugly side of the far left.

Who can forget the Labour councillor employee screaming in a baby's face calling it a fascist, or the far lefts favourite tactic which is intimidating women which sets alarm bells ringing in my head when I recall the first time I came across the phenomenon at the 2021 FiLia womens conference in Portsmouth.

So why do the far left increasingly get away with such disgusting behaviour? Why is it OK for a group of the far left dressed in military uniform to be harassing schoolgirls outside their homes, but not OK for concerned Brits to campaign against the poorly planned accommodation of migrants? This is what we call "accusation in a mirror"

Wikipedia link

Be very careful when using Wikipedia as primary source material, while wiki is great for general knowledge per se' politically it is a very left wing organisation. Their description is pretty accurate though, just don't forget to allow for what i call "wiki lefty spin"

This goes beyond dehumanisation, not only are you dehumanising them, you are calling for direct action against them. Labour MP Angela Raynor dehumanises her political opponents by labelling them "scum" Conservative MP Chris Clarkson was interrupted mid-speech on the floor of the commons by accusations of being "scum" by the aforementioned Raynor (which she immediately refuted) and who can forget the cartoon images in far left publications like the Guardian depicting then home secretary Priti Patel as a raging Bull?

All this is part of the far left agenda. Dehumanise your opponents is one of the first steps to an authoritarian/totalitarian state, yet evidence of the far left consistently doing this is everywhere, we've become de-sensitised to it and accepted it as the norm. Much in the same way we have accepted far left extremists like shouty shola on daytime TV regularly being outright racist to white people, or politicians like Humza Yousef decrying the fact that there are too many white people in Scotland.

We accept it, because these groups have been exposed to the creeping march of dehumanisation, only we don't really notice it, although we should.

So where does accusation in a mirror come in.

Wesley Russel spoke in a church hall recently against the continuing avalanche of economic migrants into Britain (and by Britain I mean England) Now. lets be clear, Russel is affiliated with the far right group Patriotic Alternative. But are PA's views any less palatable than outright racists like shouty shola or Yousef? Why do people like this get away with saying the ugliest of things with no real pushback? A question for another day perhaps.

While the left went into meltdown over words, I went hunting for the accusation in a mirror element, it didn't take long to find it. The house of Commons was the obvious one, the far right were in Knowsley, so we should take direct action against PA (who weren't) or this tweet from far left LBC presenter Sangita Myska

This is a direct call to action by an OBE recipient and a national radio presenter. This isn't a call to defeat his argument with better argument, neither is it merely a demand for censorship (which is bad enough) HE must be removed for the greater good, we've seen this film before. Over and over..

"We need to destroy them because they want to destroy us"

THIS is accusation in a mirror, it isn't Russel we should be afraid of, its Volpe and Myska that should concern us.

this is a slow creep of far left authoritarianism, its been happening in Britain for years, recently people are actually beginning to notice. You cant just go around chucking insults like "Nazi" "Fascist" or "racist" at people and have them not notice a pattern (ie most of the country appears to be far right Nazi's) I don't know about you, but I have personally never actually met a Nazi, but by the law of averages I should be bumping into them every day.

Groups like care4calais and the now largely discredited hope not hate continue to push this shadowy demon of the far right, but in doing so, as a nation we've taken our eye off the ever growing threat of the far left. Ask yourself this, why is it Ok for a far left extremist like Ash Sarkar to be platformed? She does admit to basically being a communist. Now I know my history, I've studied 20th century history for over 30 years, I find her views and opinion as distasteful and abhorrent as I do the opinion of anyone on the fringes of a far right group like PA.

Why do we? Because we've been conditioned to think that its OK and perfectly normal.

There were 2 great evils of the 20th century, one of them was Fascism/Nazism, the other was Communism, don't be under any illusion as to how bad these ideologies are and usually end up with millions dead.
