Hope not hate (the state of hate 2023)

So communist activist group hope not hate have released their "state of hate" for 2023. Regular readers of the far left groups reports will once again note a distinct bias, and when I say distinct bias, I mean anything that isn't communism is branded as hate.

No mention of Antifa (an organisation that had a good year intimidating women and generally breaking the law everywhere they pitch up) And of course no mention of the continuing rise of extremely aggressive trans rights activism which is strewn all over social media almost on a daily basis.

But nooooo lets not talk about that, the only real hate comes in the form of the tried and trusted hope not hate mantra of "anything to the right of communism is hate" Don't worry about the millions upon millions of people who have been murdered in the pursuit of the communist utopia, they were just doing it wrong.

So onto the hate (anything not communist)

Main title is "rhetoric, racism and resentment" and a bodiless arm holds a "no migrants here" sign

Good solid captioning, and we can see where this is going already. Nice to see immediately beneath that is a begging bowl for funding, which suggests all is not well in the communist camp and they need some cash (big Brucie Bonus here)

Then we have an editorial from head of bribery and corruption Nick Lowles, which is full of the usual far left speak and of course a complaint about the Shawcross report which highlights a need to refocus the prevent program to Islamic extremism away from far right extremism (which led to epic lefty meltdown) This is why the dangers of the "far right" have been ramped up by the likes of care4calais, hopenothate (obvs) and other far left extremist activist groups. Why has there been this sudden surge of "far right" fearmongering? Its all by design and you're basically being gaslit into silence.

For this first part, we're just going to focus on the executive summary. About 99% of HNH's report is a list of people who are against communism, smeared with a few allegations here and there. Its very typical of the far left and a hallmark of HNH over the years. Its all very nudge, nudge, wink wink with little to no substance.

So it begins

THE FAR RIGHT The decline of Brexit tribalism, the passing of COVID-19, declining political trust and the cost of living crisis has given the far right opportunities to organise they have not had for several years Patriotic Alternative remains the UK’s most active fascist group Stephen Lennon, AKA Tommy Robinson, remains the single most well-known far right activist even though his influence is in decline

So the far right have opportunities to organise they haven't had for several years, yet one of the chief activists influence is declining (yes, this really is in the executive summary)

Again, this is all just puff. The far left have had (and taken massive advantage of) opportunities to organise.

I like to call this period "the invention of the internet"

MAINSTREAM HATE There is increasing symmetry between the traditional far right and the mainstream right, with both talking about the same issues and often using similar language 12% of HOPE not hate’s 20,000 poll say they would “very likely” support a new Farage party, with a further 15% saying they are “quite likely” The fear of Nigel Farage forming a new antiimmigrant party is pulling the Tories to the right

Yes, this symmetry is called "normal people" there is a certain section of the left that has drifted so far to the left, that common ground amongst the masses appear far right. Lets call this "stating the bloody obvious"

Interesting note here nowhere in the rest of the report does it suggest there is a fear that Nigel Farage is pulling the Tories to the right. HNH appear to have just slipped this comment in as an afterthought.

ANTI-MIGRANT ACTIVITY Anti-migrant activity has emerged the British far right In 2022 alone, far-right activists visited accommodation housing migrants and asylum seekers at least 253 times, a 102% increase on 2021 Hardline anti-migrant rhetoric from politicians and the media has encouraged far right activism

A little bit of cunning manipulation of statistics here. The amount of accommodation housing migrants has vastly increased from 2021. Of course, its also complete nonsense to say that people expressing concerns over migrants being housed in hotels should be classed as expressing "hate"

Of course we don't know that anti-migrant rhetoric from politicians has encouraged far right activism, but, you know HNH said so in a "trust me bro" manner so it must be true. They also failed to define what hardline anti-migrant rhetoric is, I mean it could be anything couldn't it? HNH fail to define this as well so "trust me bro"

We really are off to a terrible start

ANTI-LGBT+ Anti-trans rhetoric is becoming increasingly vocal and aggressive amongst the far right A loose coalition of far-right activists and conspiracy theorists have led a vitriolic campaign against Drag Queen Story Hour (DQSH), a series of storytelling sessions for children

HNH aren't very good at outlining what is good and what is bad "rhetoric" yet tellingly, they define DQSH as merely a series of storytelling sessions for children. Because that's all it is, all completely wholesome. I mean, why wouldn't grown men dressed as prostitutes cavorting sexually in front of children not be totally innocent, its just panto dames right?

For anyone who's never been to a DQSH event, or not seen video of one its a far cry from widow Twankey let me tell you.

FAR RIGHT TERRORISM 20 far-right sympathisers were convicted of terrorist offences in 2022, a record for one year, with another individual killing himself after attempting to carry out a terrorist attack Nine of the convicted were teenagers Two of the convicted had emerged from the conspiracy scene Social media platforms are a central factor in the spread of pro-violence ideas 49% of all terror arrests in the year to September 2022 were linked to suspected extreme right-wing terrorism

As I predicted last year, if you continue to ignore legitimate concerns of the public and just keep smearing them as far right, you help to foster an environment where true extremism is going to erupt.

Quick bait and switch from arrests to convictions, hallmark HNH. No sign of far left extremism running throughout social media (there are mountains of it) Nope, its all far right and finally 49% linked to suspected, so we have no idea if this is true, we just suspect it. and what of the 51% which is the bigger percentile (only marginally but worth pointing out) HNH will inevitably fail to elaborate.

Elon Musk’s purchase of Twitter has been followed by the return of many far right extremists and conspiracy theorists who had previously been removed because of their hateful content The decline in Twitter’ moderation under Musk has led to a predictable rise in hateful and sexist language on the platform Telegram continues to be home to huge quantities of extreme racist and terrorist content.

While some of this is technically true and a platform like Telegram is notorious for having virtually no moderation at all HNH fail to admit that the far left extremists didn't need to be returned to Twitter because they were never removed in the first place.

I've been all over twitter, what was once a den of far left extremism is now balanced, between normal people, the far left and the far right. The language remains the same, but both extremes are now very evident. Now I will say this is a problem. But I hate and fear extremism in all forms.

It appears extremism is OK with HNH but only if its communist extremism (no surprises here)

ANDREW TATE A HOPE not hate poll of 1,200 16-24 year olds found: 94% of young people had heard of Andrew Tate and 67% had watched, listened to or read something from him 28% had a positive view of Tate, but this rose to 47% of males The main reason people gave for liking Tate was because he “wants men to be real men” Amongst 16-17 year-old males, 52% had a positive image of Tate 61% of Muslim males had a positive view of Tate

There is an awful lot of the whole report dedicated to Andrew Tate. I must admit, I have watched very little of his content, he does come across as what one could call a parody of masculinity. But anyway, this is merely thought police in action. What opinion do they view of him positively on, do they have any negative opinion? Come on! What is Tate actually saying?? I have read the whole report, they fail to break it down. So they have no idea, which leaves us with no idea as well.

CONSPIRACY THEORIES Three years on from the start of COVID-19, much of the energy of the conspiracy movement has dissipated, and the protest movement has contracted significantly as lockdown measures have eased and public anxiety has waned. However, those networks which remain are increasingly focusing on offline community building and some have become increasingly violent Telegram has become a central hub for the conspiracy scene Polling of 20,000 people by HOPE not hate shows belief in conspiracies remain high

Are these left wing or right wing conspiracies? The problem with conspiracy theories is most of them have a grain of truth. case in point "COVID was definitely not a lab leak, apart from yeah, it was probably a lab leak" I get the impression throughout the report that HNH seem to think a conspiracy theory is something that only afflicts the far right (interesting) because as we will find out later HNH are no strangers to conspiracy theory themselves.

This is supposed to be an executive summary I know, but I know HNH very well, this report won't get any better.

DEMOCRACY There is widespread pessimism about the state of democracy in the UK. In a poll of 20,000 people: 67% believe that the political system is broken, just 12% think it is not 67% also believe that politicians don’t speak to people like them There is a strong authoritarian streak in society. A quarter of people, 27%, would choose “having a strong and decisive leader who does not have to bother with parliament or elections”, while 57% choosing a liberal democracy with regular elections and a multi-party system Three quarters, 73%, think Britain is going in the wrong direction

OK I'll buy that. But what is the wrong direction people think its going. Too far left, too far right...........Cant wait to find out (we wont find out)

Stay tuned, I need a break from this communist hell hole I'll be back shortly, but HNH are so boring and inept its sometimes hard to maintain my enthusiasm.

So back again.

Now lets look at the meat and bones of the report. Its everything I thought it would be. Meandering tales of guesswork, wild assumptions and rather cynical conclusions (mixed in with plenty of smearing). Of course, there is plenty of truth baked into the report, but its all so wishy washy its very hard to differentiate between what is truth and what is lies.

So they set the tone. Britain in turmoil, cost of living crisis, the party in government spinning out of control and seemingly rudderless. All these things are arguably true, but do they allow the seeds for the far right to be planted? Possibly, but they also allow the seeds for the far left to insert themselves. In times of great turmoil, people very often look to radical ideals, this is nothing new and is reflective throughout the entire history of society. But the chaps at HNH seem to think its only the far right who could take advantage of such conditions. History (and lets be honest there's an awful lot of it) tells us radical ideas come form either wing of politics, and very often its up to little more than the toss of a coin as to which extreme comes out on top. I cant shake the feeling that this report is something a high school student might knock out last thing on a Sunday night before having to hand it in the next day at school.

The far right have been more active recently than they have been for many years is the claim. A very interesting claim, but not one that's backed up by serious organisations. This is the major problem I have with HNH, there are many serious organisations who track extremism, who are able to pinpoint specific areas of concern, yet its amateur groups like HNH who can (and actually do) side-track the government away from actual proper threats to ones dreamt up by HNH.

TWIN ISSUES ANIMATING THE FAR RIGHT

The first issue that animates the far right is DQSH. Well yes it does, it also animates parents, the common man in the street and pretty much anyone concerned with child safeguarding.

DQSH in the UK is headed by a man named Sab Samuels, this is a guy who lists a known paedophile among his friends and when said pedo was murdered set up a go-fund-me fundraiser to help pay for the funeral. But what do HNH have to say about DQSH?

"a series of storytelling sessions for children at public libraries"

That's it! the whole summing up of DQSH is storytelling sessions. Nothing to do with promoting queer theory, nothing to do with sexualising children, nada! But in framing DQSH in such a wholesome way HNH are trying to shape any concerns about DQSH as a conspiracy theory (it demonstrably is not). An organisation with links to Britain's communist party, the TUC, the Labour party. Antifa and other far left groups have just managed to paint the majority of Britain as far right conspiracy theorists. A stunning miscalculation and a failure to read the room of epic proportions. So what is the second issue

Uncontrolled migration (because of course it is)

Again, HNH just paint most of the country as far right. This rhetoric is so childish and insipid it straddles the boundary of just being incompetent and outright corrupt. I think I'll go with the former, much as HNH are distasteful, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and just label them as stupid.

Anyway, after a few chapters of waffle, where they just throw a few statistics about based on their "polling" data which doesn't seem to point to anything of any real note HNH now really begin cranking up the bullshit meter.

From blaming Home secretary Suella Braverman for using inflammatory language when referring to the immigrant invasion (you see what I did there) HNH now slide into what was (supposed to be) one of their centre pieces of the whole report, and that is Knowsley.

Make no mistake, Knowsley was a far left psy-op. It was supposed to debunk the Shawcross report (more on that later) and get the threat of the far right front and centre once more. All the pieces were in place. based on a leaflet drop they were sure that Britain's foremost far right group Patriotic Alternative (PA) would be there in force

So we had hundreds of the usual, bussed in far left extremists, care4calais (another far left extremist group) were there with a hotline direct to the Guardian. plenty of Labour MP's were busy having hastily worded speeches written for them where they denounce the far right (in particular PA) on the floor of the commons in the coming days. But what happened?

Well that's the problem, PA just didn't turn up. so while there were certainly protestors from the far right in Knowsley the trouble only started when the far left turned up. Then what happened was a comedy of errors. care4calais in regular contact with The Guardian were reporting their position as frightening. The Guardian were busying themselves blaming PA and hurriedly getting an article out. A police van was set alight and people were very angry for sure. But reports on the ground (genuine people not care4calais) were one of concerned parents protesting at the housing of migrants in their community. One live streamer expressed confusion as to why anyone would set light to a police van and there was suspicion among the concerned residents of  Knowsley that they were being set-up.

Well that's because they were. The overwhelming majority of protestors were concerned parents, ALL of the counter protestors were far left activists and extremists. Now nobody knows for sure who set the police van alight, but I know who my moneys on. So while the Guardian was busy re-writing its headlines and the dust finally settled we can begin to pick over the pieces. It bears all the hallmarks of a far left psy-op. We've seen this film before. Oh the Labour MP's practically frothing at the mouth still went ahead with their silly little speeches demanding action be taken against PA (someone forgot to tell them PA weren't there) The blame was placed squarely at the far rights doorstep. But why has the story gone away so quickly? That's because it doesn't stand up to any scrutiny.

HNH lay the blame at the Tory party (principally Suella Bravermans) feet because that's what they do, and we all know that Knowsley (80% majority Labour voters) always take their cue from a conservative home secretary. We're in 2+2=5 territory now. Yet the media still accept this utter bullshit and then opine as to why people in Britain (particularly working class Britain) feel so disenfranchised. Of course they generally come to the usual conclusion (that's because Britain is xenophobic and racist) because that's the default position of todays MSM

Anyway, back to the comedy.

Mainstream Britain and the far right are now talking in almost the exact same language (paraphrasing)

This doesn't tell you what they think it tells you, I'm surprised (well not that surprised) HNH went down this route

Does it not tell you that Britain stands where it has always stood, and the far left seem to be drifting further and further left? They're looking at mainstream politics from such a distance that even normal talking points appear to be fascist. And it appears as though the majority feel this way as well. But alas, HNH are convinced that Britain is sliding into fascism. But they're using very broad spectrum indeed, because this includes long time feminist author JK Rowling, because she has the temerity to think that trans women could possibly pose a threat to biological women. Rowling is such a FASCIST!

Then we have some more fluff complaining about right wing voices finding a platform on GBNews. Not really a lot to say about this, its just guff.. Voices from the far left are littered throughout MSM, I can only surmise that HNH don't like anything other than left wing voices (and given their history this comes as no surprise)

The final part of this section (thank god) focuses more on Britain First and Patriotic Alternative. All we seem to have here are that they are right wing (far right) Mind you, if anyone managed to watch the hilarious HNH documentary on Patriotic Alternative, you can see why HNH don't have much to say about them other than "watch these guys"

And now, we have another bunch of waffle so I'll quickly sum this section up.

"Extremist groups are ever present in online places, they can be found everywhere."

HNH seem to take great pleasure in pointing out this stunningly obvious fact, but then again, HNH aren't known for their amazing intellect.

Now a quick section on their polling data, which points to.......well nothing! And yet more guff about how the cost of living crisis makes people susceptible to far right influence. I mean FFS! This is schoolboy stuff.

So that was section one (yes, we really have only just started)

Section 2 is titled "State of the Nation" and I need another break. I don't know how much more of this I can take. I will return, I'm sure of it. But my God is it tough reading.

Now we have Rosie Carter, policy officer of HNH, her field of expertise (and I use that term very loosely) Is integration and immigration.

Now not a lot of details of Rosie exist, she does appear to have invested an awful lot of time though talking to people in disadvantaged communities so at least she's made some effort.

But! To hear Rosie speaking, its clear that she never grew up on a council estate. And here's the major problem.

Seeing how people live is very different to actually living in their World. So plummy Rosie just hasn't got a clue to be frank (but props for trying) Her opinion lands her squarely in the same space where most of the middle/upper classes opinions land. There is no valuable insight here. Through all her listening (and no doubt a ton of talking) she hasn't learned anything regarding the disadvantaged of Britain.

The beginning of this section has Rosie telling us how brilliant and amazing HNH are. Well that's nice, there's always room for a bit of self congratulation. Rosie continues.

Apparently there have been huge shifts in public opinion during the past decade or so. We've become more diverse (true) and educated (in what?) its been an organic process.

Yes, societies change organically, ta-daaaaaaa!

But this positive picture doesn’t necessarily chime with what we’ve seen play out in politics or media.

Well that's true. Fancy blaming everyone as racist because Britain voted for Brexit? And whoever thought its a great idea to regularly give a platform to outright racists like shouty shola, Adil Ray or Kehinde Andrews? People like these are literally the best recruitment agents for groups like PA and we get them on TV practically every single day to tell us how racist we all are. And we have a Labour party literally bursting at the seams with racists. No wonder a buffoon like Boris Johnson won an 80 seat majority!

Scaremongering about asylum seekers arriving across The Channel, divisive public debate around race relations, trans rights and LGBT+ education in schools, as well as attacks on the “woke” world, have all been front and centre of British politics for the last year.

Interestingly (but not really) Rosie frames all the talk of problems of illegal immigration pouring across the channel as "scaremongering" This is a classic lefty buzz word to shut down debate. if you don't want people to talk about something, throw out "scaremongering" and hopefully that will shut them up.

And as for woke, its become a very mainstream term now unfortunately (for HNH and the rest of the extreme far left that war is lost) "woke" and the whole idea of being "woke" is not landing too well with the British public.

She then goes on to talk about identity politics, which is ironic because the far left literally invented modern identity politics. Intersectionality didn't just come out of nowhere, its been a part of far left dogma for years, only now its pouring out of the Universities and into wider society. Intersectionality is literally the mother of modern identity politics.

She then goes on to explain that different people have wide ranging views on different subjects (bangs head on table) yes Rosie, we're all individuals with our own hopes, fears and opinions.

There are a clear number of issues on which progressives have pulled consensus in their direction, such as LGBT+ rights

Rosie might wanna rethink this one, stick a pin in this grenade otherwise we'll be here all year!

As society has become more socially liberal, identity politics have increasingly been framed by the Right around a reaction to progressive values, cutting across multiple issues, from modern masculinity to structural racism and trans rights.

Oh dear lord...maybe this might be pushback against what is extreme progressivism, not all progressive issues are positive, ask most women how they feel about being labelled "cis"

There is now public consensus around both the economic and cultural benefits of immigration, but on issues of asylum this falls short, with a large majority seeing asylum seekers as a security threat.

Wait, what? This is an awful lot to have to unpack from one sentence. I don't even know where to begin, so I wont. Lets see where Rosie is headed with this.

The majority of people voice concern about levels of racism in Britain and acknowledge the everyday discrimination faced by Black and Asian people

No they don't, this is a figment of your fertile imagination.

but there is broad resistance among the public to challenge structural racism, and a majority reject notions of privilege based on identity

This could be because the far left opinion on racism in this country makes absolutely no sense. It does not reflect the country most people live in, it doesn't reflect their communities and it doesn't reflect them. You keep hammering home a message to people that makes no sense and is alien to them.

Rosie see's this as resistance, maybe there is a divide here that just cannot be bridged.

One thing I can safely say about Rosie, she is stunningly boring. Her views on the working class reminded me of another radical lefty, Owen Jones. It always amuses me when establishment communists try and understand the working classes, they have eyes, yet they cannot see, they have ears, yet they fail to listen and while their verdicts may not always be exact, at the very least it always rhymes. But lets not get bogged down, onward!

Next up is very nearly interesting, a HNH expose! A secret plot, meetings held in the dead of midnight by shadowy figures discussing taboo topics, evil characters plotting their nefarious deeds.

OK I just made that up, this doesn't appear in the report. But it does begin in Dickensian fashion which tickled me.

It may be worth looking at the whole report and not just my summary. This is a conspiracy theory of epic proportions. They should make a movie about this.

A HOPE not hate investigation has exposed a secret anti-Muslim group at the heart of the British establishment.

Woah!! No way!!!

Yes folks there is a secret anti-muslim group at the heart of the British establishment

Except there isn't. Discussing Islam is perfectly OK, speaking to right wing voices is perfectly OK (after all the establishment speak to enough left wing ones)

What we appear to have, is HNH whining that they weren't consulted about the issue (problem) of radical Islam.

Make no mistake, radical Islam is completely incompatible with western values (take a look at Iran) So its OK to talk about it. Its OK to not include communists like HNH.

There really is no need for them to sulk.

This section goes on and on and on, what started out as something rather hilarious, now devolves into dull, insipid nonsense.

It is OK to be against Islam, many, many people are. many people are not religious at all, this is also OK.

But Britain was built on Christian values. Radical Islam isn't compatible with those values. Its Ok to discuss this, it really is. So lets skip this crap. Denying radical Islam led to the rape of over 1400 young white girls. Lefty dogma don't wash with me on this issue.

I cannot express how long this section drones on for. Its exhausting, annoying and pointless.

So now HNH investigations (investigations indeed) claim to have uncovered a worrying overlap between the conservatives and extreme ideologies.

This should be interesting (hint, its not)

There appears to have been some far right influence that infiltrated the Conservative party, they were quickly removed.

Then we have whole reams of guff regarding what some conservative voices have said about radical Islam. This looks like the beginnings of a great sequel to their original conspiracy theory as HNH prepare the groundwork before spinning us yet another yarn.

"It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.......it was the most Islamophobic of times"

Not quite sure there's any validity to this section to be honest. I mean, its Ok to speak out against Islam, if they were to attack an individual then I would have a problem (unless is was an Islamic nutjob of which there are loads) Likewise, if they were to incite violence against innocent people just because of their religious beliefs, then I would have a problem. Except they aren't.

Lets be clear. Islamophobia is an entirely made up word and anyone who uses it can be dismissed as a buffoon (HNH use it lots)

Anyway, enough about this section, it is of course, utter claptrap masquerading under the guise of "investigation" But there are the building blocks here of at least one epic novel/screenplay/movie, maybe even a trilogy..

Now we have the slimy snake himself, the sneering, snivelling toad who founded HNH Nick Lowles. The less said about him the better. So what is his contribution to this turd of a report?

Bang! straight out of the block we're flat our lying (we're onto Andrew Tate now) While Tommy Robinson does actually know Andrew Tate, its a bit of a stretch to say they're "old pals" But this is classic Lowles. He reminds me of an annoying little terrier that wont stop barking.

So we have a whole section on how Tommy Robinson and his gang love a bit of domestic violence.

Now I have no idea if this is true or not, but the lack of police investigations or prosecutions suggests that Lowles chooses to believe the accusers simply because he wants to, yeah that's not how the law works. the fact that this is part of the report tells me this is just a vendetta and stinks yet again of rank amateurism. As always Lowles comes across as utterly obsessed with Tommy Robinson, so it wouldn't surprise anyone that he's written an entire book about him (bet its terrific fun)

TROUBLE IN TELFORD

Worse still, Thomas was actually sleeping with a Telford abuse survivor – a completely shocking state of affairs.

Yes, this is most definitely a vendetta. If you managed to get this far without throwing the report in the bin, then now's the time to do just that. What the hell has this got to do with the far right?

Seriously. I have written many reports, admittedly, mostly surround security of buildings, how much staff an organisation would need, where are the weak points etc, best room to use regarding numbers, all sorts of stuff like that, mostly inane rubbish but it all needed to be included.

But this, this is like revenge porn. I know Tommy Robinson released an expose on how corrupt HNH are but this is beyond childish. If I was Lowles I would be embarrassed by this whole section. But I know people like Nick Lowles, snivelling lowlifes who thrive on smears and hearsay. So lets move on again shall we?

So now we move onto Andrew Tate. Most of this section is about him under the heading "Youth radicalisation.

I barely know anything about the bloke. So I wont comment. There is a tiny bit about Jordan Peterson which piqued my interest slightly, but other than that. No comment, don't know Andrew Tate and I have no inclination to find out more about him. But I do know all about the Streisand effect and extremist idiots like HNH have increased Tates profile massively.

Now we are handed over to HNH's director of education and training

Owen Jones! (not to be confused with that other far left commie who regularly writes for far left publications like The Guardian) This Owen Jones, studied economics.

Like comedy gold!

So the boy Jones claims a flood of teachers have reached out to HNH pleading for help in how to counter the threat of Andrew Tate.

I mean come on! If Tate was such a serious threat, you need a serious person to combat that. Jones is not a serious person. Why not someone intelligent? Why not someone trained in working with young boys, why not someone with some life experience. Did HNH really have to go with someone who's background is in economics?

Ok I'm back, so where was I? Oh yes. Well Jones gives it plenty of childish guff which is not surprising seeing as he has absolutely zero experience in the role in which he's been dumped.

Trust me on this, if you want to combat Andrew Tate the very LAST person you should be consulting is Owen Jones, you're pitting a sausage dog up against a Pitbull.

Would you believe we're only half way through? I  know.

Anyway, I need some sleep. the next instalment is going to tell us how the far right have discovered the internet (cannot wait)

So now we move to section 5

Far Right and Tech

So to begin with, HNH are bemoaning the fact that certain accounts have been reinstated to Twitter.

Apparently Musks takeover has had disastrous consequences, well for the far left maybe. Twitter has long been a cesspit for far left extremism, a place where even mainstream political accounts are removed for no apparent reason, while far left accounts remained untouched. A place filled with hostility, extremism and rampant racism (all from the far left) And of course one of the far lefts favourite indulgencies, child porn.

Musks takeover has seen child porn radically diminished and the return of the right wing. It still remains a cesspit of extremism, but at least its just not the far left running rampant and as for child porn, there are plenty of other places the far left can get their kicks.

There still remains glitches in the matrix however, some right wingers have seen their accounts suspended yet again for no reason, and far left extremism still goes untouched. So while plenty of progress has been made, there is still work to do.

This is quite a bizarre part of the report. Mind you, if you're a far left extremist only used to seeing fellow far left extremists spouting their hate on a daily basis, the sight of a more moderate account (that you cant get suspended) would come as quite a surprise, and this appears to be what has happened to HNH and huge swathes of the far left.

It then segues into "alt tech" which appears to be what HNH considers to be platforms that aren't Twitter, Facebook, YouTube or Instagram. This is a very "lefty term" and is typical of the mind manipulation games of the far left in order to easier frame all users removed from Twitter et al as being far right extremists. Bear in mind, that all the major social media platforms  (apart from TikTok) come from the same place in silicon valley, all designed by people of a very similar, progressive mindset. This is the major reason Elon Musk bought Twitter, not because he thought he would make a ton of money, but because he saw Twitter as the de facto "Town Square" and he wanted it to be balanced.

Anyway...

Unsurprisingly away from far left extreme platforms like the Twitter of old you're going to find right wing accounts. HNH seem surprised at this development, I struggle to see why. Moderation is a lot less far left on these platforms and you do tend to see more of the far right here than the far left. Much in the same manner you saw much more of the far left on twitter. I'm struggling to see their point here.

Up next is Anti-LGBT+ (I know)

OVER THE summer of 2022, across the UK, a loose coalition of far-right groups, conspiracy theorists and anti-LGBT+ activists led a vitriolic campaign against Drag Queen Story Hour (DQSH), a series of storytelling sessions for children at public libraries.

Well we've already established that DQSH is much, much more than just storytelling sessions for kids and recent events again suggest that this loose coalition is not really this at all, mostly its concerned parents protesting men dressed as prostitutes cavorting sexually in front of children. Again, lets mention that DQSH is run by known paedophile sympathiser Sab Samuels.

they then go on (at great length yet again) to defend DQSH claiming all sorts of conspiracies among the far right. Strange take, but the truth is often framed as a conspiracy theory by HNH but I must applaud the mental gymnastics HNH perform here to defend DQSH

For some reason (out of absolutely nowhere) they bring in Jews and Muslims and I have no idea why. I don't know of any out of the ordinary support for DQSH among Jewish or Muslim communities. It doesn't strike me as being their thing. But, you know, it is HNH I guess.

They also throw in a bit of cultural Marxism for good measure and go off on a bizarre tangent with that theory. So lets help HNH out. Cultural Marxism is the idea that progressive influences are set on the corruption and complete breakdown of western society, that's what it is. That's why they call it cultural Marxism. Marx sought the overthrow of a capitalist society where the workers seize the means of production thus ushering in a communist utopia. Cultural Marxism uses the culture of a society, rather than its means of production. HNH go on a bizarre tangent involving white genocide pushed by Jewish conspirators which is insanely funny. I love a HNH conspiracy theory. the best conspiracy theories always seem to come from the far left.

Gender diversity and LGBT+ rights are understood as weapons to “feminise” society or to “weaken” the West by sexualising children and normalising paedophilia.

Well its not really a conspiracy theory if it happens to be true now is it? HNH appear to have never heard of the term MAPS and the campaign to normalise it. Neither have do they appear to have heard of figures like Peter Tatchell or Judith Butler

That's the problem with the internet age. People have eyes and ears. social media has really opened up Pandora's box. HNH seem to be in denial here and displaying some massive cope. Its all very 1984'esque really.

"That thing you saw with your own eyes, and that stuff you read aren't really what you saw and read, no it is all an illusion and OH LOOK OVER HERE AT THIS THING"

This tactic may have worked 20 years ago. But anyone deploying it in todays age just makes themselves look a bit silly (HNH are really, really silly)

I don't really want to dig too much more into the LGBTQ+ issue, it would just take too long. read up on it yourself. If you want answers as to why adult men are able to compete in women's sports or why male rapists are able to gain access to female spaces include shelters, changing rooms and prisons then there is a ton of literature to be found online. Its no surprise that HNH fully endorse queer theory because of course they do. One of HNH ringleaders is rarely found at counter protests, but guarantee he'll make an exception when it comes to DQSH.

Again they quote some statistics from their internal polling, take all this with a pinch of salt, they don't really reveal the framing of questions people are asked neither do they reveal what areas their polling was taken. Knowing HNH history it wouldn't surprise me if they just made it all up to be honest.

Narratives Project found that tweets containing variations on “groom” increased from roughly 10,000
per day in January 2022 to nearly 200,000 that April. Smearing LGBT+ people as “groomers”

Well this is wrong, that's not why "groomer" became so popular on Twitter and it wasn't to smear LGBT+ people either, but HNH do love to just make stuff up as they go along.

Neither was it used to justify Florida's excellent "Don't say gay" law. HNH don't go into detail about what the law actually is, because they know what it is and they know that it has nothing to do with not saying gay at all. they just don't want you to know what it is.

It is a law that specifically bans the discussion of sexual orientation or gender identity to children up to EIGHT YEARS OLD! Yes, how awful to ban teachers discussing sex with 8 year olds and under (the far left really are this sick) it also removes power from teachers and hands it back to parents. So all in all, a great bill (unless you're HNH apparently)

Up next we have the Anti LGBT backlash!

they appear to have missed out some text here, no idea what it says buts its probably nonsense so lets move on.

These highly emotive slanders have the potential to inspire violence, evidenced by the firebombing
of a venue that hosted a drag show in Oklahoma last October, and a shooting in a LGBT+ nightclub in Colorado that left five dead in November.

What HNH don't say is that a member of the LGBT community carried out the attack at club-Q in Colorado. I like the picture they used for the header of this section. A nice wholesome picture of a drag queen innocently reading a story to engrossed and happy children along with their parents. But again! its those damn people with eyes and ears that spoil everything! I'm sure there is some DQSH that is perfectly innocent but the question remains (always unanswered) Why do drag queens have this urge to read books to children?

They then go on to mention how hate crimes against the LGBT community have exploded. But fail to mention that the definition of a hate crime has been radically redefined. If you state that you believe that a trans women is a man, oops, you've just committed a hate crime. So lets move on, lets see if HNH have anything grown-up to say on the issue........short answer, no. Long answer, noooooo but boy oh boy do HNH know how to tell a story. This exhaustive tale also roped in Mumsnet, that well known breeding ground of fascism. Debut appearance from them I believe although I personally doubt that Mumsnet (a vipers nest of feminists) have suddenly decided to go all in on fascism, but this is HNH, this is upside down world where anything is possible.

So lets leave the LGBT world for now and move onto the next segment which is section 7

Far Right terrorism! dun dun durrrrrrrrr.....(a skeleton holding some type of assault weapon is the splash image here, scary stuff indeed)

Oh no! written by Nick Lowles (good grief) Far right terrorism is on the rise Lowles claims. Ok fella, lets see what you've got.

20 extreme far right activists or sympathisers were arrested in 2022 apparently. The most serious of which was Andrew Leak. Strangely enough I covered that here

Are HNH really this dumb

Again, if Andrew Leak is extreme far right. then that's about 80% of the entire country. (I made this 80% figure up, much like HNH appear to just make figures up)

Plenty of "allegations" claimed as fact (surprise, surprise) Again with the social media claims (obviously) its also how the far left operate. We see evidence of Antifa clarion calls going up en masse all over Twitter to go and intimidate women every time Posie Parker dares to open her mouth.

Next we have page upon page of smear jobs, hatchet jobs, outright speculation, utter nonsense but also a few nuggets of truth baked in.

This is another spectacular failing HNH have you go around chucking buzz words like "far right" about at people who are anything but far right, you begin to dilute its meaning, which means genuine far right nutters are harder to expose. HNH also constantly contradict themselves. The far right are a well organised, well oiled machine, yet they are also mostly individuals and lone wolves. They are boomers, yet also young kids.

They are everything and nothing all at once. A riddle wrapped up in a mystery! FFS!

Far right terror has gone up, but the scope of offences considered terror has been massively increased. its hard to imagine how this has happened. Lets try an example.

Wolf whistling is from now on considered sexual assault (its not, well not yet anyway) and all of a sudden sexual assault cases go through the roof. This is why the threat of terror has gone up (equally so from both left and right) although the far left seem to get away with breaking the law far more often than the far right do. This only adds to the growing frustration of the more typically less extreme voter.

The far left regularly wear black-bloc (illegal) they recently embarked on a mission to harass and intimidate a schoolgirl in her own home while dressed in military uniform (again illegal) they regularly harass and intimidate women who merely express concerns regarding biological men in women only spaces both online and in real life and yet nothing is done. This all adds to growing frustration for the British public in general. Not discounting the antics of other far left extremists like Just stop oil and the creeping threat of blasphemy laws coming to the UK its little wonder that people are just fed up with the far left.

Anyway, back to this gargantuan report which is very soon go to turn into a "list of people Lowles and co don't like"

Now we get to HNH's opinion of the much awaited Shawcross report.

I've read the Shawcross report, its a very good report, covering most of the key issues, well presented and it should see a much better application of the "prevent" programme.

What do HNH think? Not happy commies (surprising absolutely nobody)

For reasons known only to HNH they decide to tell us the history of "prevent" which seems very odd indeed. the people who would read a report like this would know all about prevent, telling them its history is pointless (much like the existence of HNH)

This is another section that just drones on and on and on.

Unfortunately HNH didn't fare too well according to Shawcross and we can but hope that the sticky, commie fingers HNH have round the necks of key government departments are finally being removed. one by one

Oh lets wish it so.

Almost time for summing up. No, we're not near the end of the report, not by a long shot. But the rest of the report is basically an elongated opinion piece on public figures who aren't woke mixed in with more than a few nasty shit-heads

Time for a quick cuppa and a break.

Finally. HNH give us no less than 60 (yes sixty) pages where they profile the far right in Britain

Now I know I've bashed HNH quite a lot, but this is pointless. Here we have a far left, activist (bordering on anarchist) organisation, telling us what they think the far right is.

They believe their definition of far right is

The ‘far right’ is an umbrella term that
encompasses those individuals and organisations
whose political outlook is more extreme or hardline
than those of the centre right of the mainstream
political spectrum.

What their definition of far right actually is.

Anyone to the political right of the Labour Party

Its little wonder that Shawcross dismissed HNH with such disdain.

So, do go ahead and have a look at todays far right according to HNH. It really is quite amusing.

I will highlight one example before summing up. Piers Corbyn is an anarchist, he is one of the few people in the country who are further left than his communist brother Jeremy Corbyn.

According to HNH, Piers Corbyn is far right (make it make sense)

So to sum up.

State of hate 2023 is everything you feared it might be, and lots lots more. The problem with organisations like HNH is they devolve into hive mind thinking. A state of being where everyone is in complete agreement with each other and there is no room for any other opinion. Couple this with the narrow focus on such a niche corner of British politics its very easy to lose sight of your original mission and rather than being objective and well reasoned your mission becomes a vendetta, and this report is dripping with personal vendettas (particularly from ringmaster Lowles.)

The Amateur tone of this report leaves me concerned that government departments actually listen to HNH.

Compare and contrast to actual professionals.

https://rusi.org/explore-our-research/topics/countering-terrorism-and-violent-extremism

Can you see the difference, the gulf in quality is immense. But do HNH actually do anything good?

Answer : No.

Ok. to be fair, they have done a good job in identifying key figures that are to the political right of the labour party. But that's an enormous scope and to label so many people as far right (when clearly they are not) is dangerous and I would strongly advise any government department break all relations with such a clown world bunch of charlatans. To be honest, I could have compiled this list of the far right in a couple of days by just scrolling through twitter.

So was there anything that was at least interesting in the report?

Well interesting is a bit of a stretch, but looking at some of the polling data that's sprinkled throughout the report I did notice a couple of anomalies, but without seeing the raw data, I'll withhold any judgment, I cant help feeling that this is just manipulation on HNH's part to ask the questions HNH have deliberately set out to make you ask.

And of course, there's the smearing, linking people to various groups (some of them extreme, some of them benign) is not a unique activity to HNH but the sheer level of it here could be admired (and I bet it will among other far left organisations) Its all fun and games of course, until someone shines the light on you as Lowles found out during Tommy Robinsons doc on HNH. I watched the doc, just to prepare for this report.

The flaws in the doc were pretty evident. But when Tommy did confront Lowles, you can tell he was right on the money. Lowles reaction was priceless, completely caught off guard, he knew he was bang to rights, but then the sneering, snivelling Lowles regained his composure slightly, because he knew, as part of the establishment, he would never have to face up to his lies and deceit, particularly when its coming from someone with an extremely chequered history like Robinson.

Luckily, thanks to the Shawcross report HNH influence has been severely curtailed. But like a really bad smell, they won't go away quietly and I'm sure an incoming Labour government bursting at the seams with communists and activists would love to hear what HNH have to say.

And I'm done, I've had plenty of laughs and some of the mental gymnastics HNH go through truly should be admired and their conspiracy theories are sometimes breath-taking. But overall, to be honest, while I thought it was going to be bad.

I had no idea it was going to be THIS bad...
